Welcome to my world in 1/6 scale.
Welcome to LaFlorette Doll Society, my little corner of the world dedicated to dolls, miniatures, photography and storytelling.
What started as a simple idea — recreating my beloved family in miniature — has grown into a whole universe of characters, relationships and stories.
Here, I share my personal doll collection, my creations and the wonderful people who inspire me along the way.
Every doll featured in my collection is one I actually own. This is a personal collection, not a comprehensive catalogue of every doll ever released.

02 — THE BEGINNINGS
IT ALL STARTED AGAIN IN JUNE 2022.
It all started again in June 2022, thanks to an Instagram account called Grandma Gets Real, which I had been following since 2020.
I discovered that she had recreated her entire family as Barbies and Kens, and I was absolutely amazed! I also realised just how much Barbie had evolved over the years. Mattel now offered dolls with so many different body types, skin tones, shapes and looks. The possibilities seemed endless!
At first, my idea was quite simple: I wanted to recreate my little family too — my daughter, my husband and myself — in 1/6 scale. Just the three of us, living our best Barbie lives!
One day, I finally decided to reach out to her. She was incredibly kind and took the time to explain how to get started in this wonderful world of doll collecting.
And that’s how I started bringing my loved ones to life in miniature: my husband LeBru, my daughter Ines, and myself, LaFlorette.
But, of course, things didn’t quite go as planned…
Before I knew it, my little family of three was about to become something much, much bigger.

03 — THE BIRTH OF THE CLUB

FROM MY LITTLE FAMILY TO A WHOLE SOCIETY.
Of course, it didn’t take long before my little family of three started growing!
I began looking for dolls that reminded me of my friends, the people around me and everyone I wanted to bring into my miniature world. Some were surprisingly easy to find, others required a little more imagination. And sometimes, I’d come across a doll and instantly know exactly who they were going to be!
Little by little, new characters appeared. They made friends, fell in love, started families and developed personalities and stories of their own.
What began as a way to recreate my real-life loved ones was slowly becoming a whole fictional community.
On December 27, I officially joined the online doll community by launching my Instagram account, @laflorettedollsociety. It was time to share my little world, discover other collectors and connect with people who loved dolls and storytelling just as much as I did.
And that’s how my little Barbie Fantasy Club began to take shape — growing, evolving and eventually becoming LaFlorette Doll Society.
What started with three dolls had become a whole Society. And believe me, there’s never a dull moment around here!
Today, I own more than 300 dolls — and I ain’t stopping anytime soon! New members keep joining the family every month… and there’s always room for one more!
04 — THE CREATIVE UNIVERSE
A WHOLE WORLD IN MINIATURE.
And then I discovered something truly amazing: almost everything exists in miniature!
Clothes, furniture, food, decorations, accessories… You name it, someone has probably made it in 1/6 scale!
I discovered an incredibly creative community of artists, designers, photographers and miniature makers, all bringing their own little worlds to life. From handmade furniture and tiny fashion collections to the most realistic miniature food, I couldn’t believe the level of detail and imagination.
Naturally, I wanted to give it a try myself!
I started experimenting with dioramas and roomboxes, creating printed stickers, customising vintage miniature objects and building little spaces where my dolls could live their stories.
Photography quickly became another part of the adventure. I began creating scenes, imagining relationships and capturing little moments in the lives of my characters.
Because once you give a doll a personality, a home and a story… well, things can get pretty interesting!
And that’s what I love most about this hobby: there are no limits to what you can imagine, create or tell.

05 — TODAY

WELCOME TO LAFLORETTE DOLL SOCIETY.
What started as a little family of three has become so much more than I ever imagined.
Today, LaFlorette Doll Society is my creative playground, where collecting, photography, miniatures and storytelling all come together.
A place where dolls can keep their original identities or become entirely new characters, each with their own personalities, relationships and stories.
It’s also a place to celebrate the creativity of a wonderful community, share discoveries, exchange ideas and connect with people who understand that collecting dolls is about so much more than simply owning them.
And the best part? This world is still growing, changing and surprising me every day.
There are always new faces to meet, new scenes to create and new stories waiting to be told.
So, make yourself at home, explore, get inspired and enjoy your visit.
